Joseph Thomas Coyle, B.A.,M.D.
    Joseph T. Coyle holds the Eben S. Draper Chair of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. Board certified in psychiatry, Dr. Coyle’s has conducted groundbreaking research on schizophrenia and other serious mental disorders. His research interests include developmental neurobiology, mechanisms of neuronal vulnerability and psychopharmacology. Dr. Coyle has published over 500 scientific articles and has edited seven books. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences (1990), a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1993), a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a fellow of the American College of Psychiatry and fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Expertise: neuropsychiatric disorders, developmental neurobiology, glutamatergic neurons, signal transduction in the nervous system
