Lisa A. Snider, M.D
Lisa A. Snider, M.D. is a senior staff fellow working in the branch of Pediatrics and Developmental
Neuropsychiatry under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Swedo. She received a dual S.B. in brain and cognitive
science and molecular biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992. She then received her
M.D. degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed a pediatric
residency at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles prior to her arrival at the NIMH in 2000.
Dr. Snider is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has also been elected as a Fellow
of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Ambulatory Pediatric Association, and a member of
the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Snider received the Fellows Award for Research
Excellence in 2003 and is an NIH General Loan Repayment Program recipient. Dr. Snider's research interests
include post-infectious childhood neuropsychiatric disorders, childhood-onset obsessive-compulsive disorder,
and autism.
