2 Research Method Development


2.9 Solid phase radiochemistry

In collaboration with Dr. S. Lepore (Florida Atlantic U.) we are developing novel Research Method Image 4arylsulfonate-based nucleophilic assisted leaving groups (NALGs) that in non-radioactive work show remarkable rateenhancement in nucleophilic displacement reactions.56 This approach should be useful for the development of efficient resin-supported [18F]fluoridation with the advantage of ease of radioactive product separation (Figure 4).
